Gender equality - is relevent as in society at that time there were many differetn women rising to power along with men this is reflected into cuffs through characters such as detective Jo Moffat who is a lead female detective

All white cast - reflects the society at that time which was predominately all white people in positions of power this creates a realistic feel to the text so that the audience can connect with it
Only heterosexual characters - as back when it was produced was when it was seen as very wrong and negative to be homosexual and you were only accepted if you were hetrosexual. The main characters Peel and Steed can be assumed as being heterosexual due to their flirty actions. (Sword fighting)
